HERITAGE PRESENTATION – GRA AGM 2023

At the 2023 AGM, Colin Berger of the GRA Heritage committee presented a very useful overview of the Heritage aspects of the suburb and the value of protecting and preserving heritage aspects of our suburb. The slide show covered examples of sensitive renovations that both respect the heritage of the suburb and add value to the properties concerned. 

If you are considering renovating a property in Greenside there are Heritage considerations that need to be followed. If the property is older than 60 years (as most Greenside properties are), then in order for the city to approve any building plans, they require Heritage approval. So if you are considering any structural alterations to a property you must obtain approval from the Greenside Heritage Sub-Committee (GHSC).
