Highlights from the 2024 GRA AGM
The 2024 Greenside Residents Association AGM was held on the 22nd May 2024 at Greenside Primary. The meeting was chaired by the GRA chairperson, Judith Ancer and attended by 75 residents.
Ward Councillor, Bridget Steer, addressed the meeting and highlighted the enormous R19 billion debt facing CityPower as well as progress on the construction of the new 26 ML Brixton reservoir to supply the Hursthill water system.
GRA Chairperson, Judith Ancer, outlined the numerous challenges faced by Greenside and the many initiatives currently underway in the suburb initiated and supported by the GRA to address and mitigate these. She also reported on the GRA’s current financial position.
Julia Fish from JoburgCAN also addressed the meeting to describe the work being done by the organisation and the importance of and benefit to residents of coordinated collaboration across multiple residents’ associations.
