Cap have informed the GRA that they’ve noticed increasing cases of suspects using motorbikes to commit quick crimes by deceiving passers-by on the street.
We don’t want you to be one of those victims.
Here are some tips: If you are approached by someone on a delivery bike be aware that there may be criminal intent. Don’t be too trusting. For example: Showing your phone, because the person asked for directions, could present an opportunity for the suspect who may have not had one before.
Find your way to a public or busy space as soon as possible and ask for security to be called.
Remember you are a part of the solution. Call in suspicious activity to the EGCAP Command Centre on 0861 277 277. If you look twice, call it in in order to assist Greenside with our public space safety programme – you don’t need to be a CAP client. It could save lives.
